Question about supplements for bodybuilding?

My friend and I want to start working out and looks better in the summer. He looks online at sites bodybuilding website and purchase a variety of pills that cost him nearly a hundred dollars now. These include glutamine, carnitine, creatine, green tea, yohimbe, and several others. I wonder if these are really needed to get a better physique. Something about eating so many pills just does not seem right (or healthy) for me. I'm trying to stick to healthy eating and focus in the gym to get my results. Should I also take all these pills?

There are the benefits of glutamine and creatine, but I do not use. I have used creatine in the past, but I left a year ago and only the use of protein (I use normal whey protein). No adverse side effects of the use of glutamine and creatine. But does drinking plenty of fluids or if u take creatine (creatine causes water to flow to the muscles). Addition of creatine should be taken in a cycle ... Start with a loading phase (usually twice the normal dose), a maintenance phase (normal dose), and a resting phase (None). I'm not familiar with these and other supplements, but u can research on that site bodybuilding.com.
