Potential cancer question?
I’m a male and 16 years old, 6 feet tall and 154 lbs. and for two years i have felt this lump under my nipple. Could it be cancer or just Gynecomastia (i think its called that). Are there any signs of breast cancer and could anything cause this?? Thank you for any help/suggestions. By the way, i don’t do drugs or steroids so it isn’t caused by that.
It is rare, but males do get breast cancer as well as women. I am a nurse and work on the cancer prevention field. I will tell you right now that not every lump on the breast or nipple is cancer. So don’t panic just yet. But it needs to be looked at.
Cancer usually feels like a hard lump, non movable, usually does not hurt in the beginning. You should go to a doctor and have it looked up so he/she can feel it and determine if it needs to be follow up with an ultrasound, or have a biopsy.
