frostbite a bag of ice – after the operation? PLEASE HELP?
I had surgery for gynecomastia (reduction of male breasts) 5 weeks. My dog jumped on my chest while I slept, and today the area to prevent swelling and bruising to a bag of ice on my chest / nipples. I carried the bag of ice (no towels or anything) for 5 minutes when I felt a sting net / burn my nipple put on ice So I wonder is freezer burn? I can not hurt my surgical site, as well as up or inflated?
No pun intended, but you know what is called "Nip freeze." This is a much less severe frostbite. It occurs when the skin is cooled too quickly. Your body lets you know quickly that something is wrong, sending a pain signal to the brain, so I'll stop. Frost over the cut healing quickly freeze and not at all bad if you continue to cut the same area several times.
